An allergy is an abnormal or inappropriate reaction by a person's immune system, towards any substance (the allergen), which may be harmless to other people.
As well as sensitivities to food groups, vitamins, minerals, chemicals, toxins, pollens and other environmental substances, almost any substance or circumstance can cause problems, including intangible factors, such as electromagnetic radiation, and environmental conditions such as cold and damp.
Allergies can result from past emotional trauma, sometimes related to a particular event. Furthermore, current stress and anxiety can trigger allergies, as these factors make the immune system less able to cope.
In addition to common allergy symptoms, such as, sneezing, skin conditions and digestive problems, many illnesses and disorders can be due to sensitivities.
If you have any of these, or other troublesome symptoms, you may benefit from NAET
NAET regards allergies as being anything which causes a blockage and reduction in the flow of energy in the body. This can cause disruptions to physical processes, resulting in symptoms of varying degrees of severity.
In true allergic cases the body will produce antibodies to the allergen (in this case called an antigen). These can be diagnosed with blood and skin tests, but in less severe cases of intolerance the body will not have produced antibodies and tests will prove negative. Symptoms may nevertheless be debilitating and, with muscle testing, NAET can identify these intolerances, as well as the more severe allergies.
Many people are sensitive to vitamins and minerals, which may mean these are not properly absorbed. This can lead to deficiency symptoms, as the body will not be getting what it needs to function properly. NAET can help to rectify this problem.
